This presentation will take some of the mystery out of embouchures by demonstrating how the physical differences of individual players can make two brass musicians' embouchures function correctly in completely different ways. Using basic visible characteristics teachers and players can use patterns of functioning embouchures as a useful model for improving technique, troubleshooting problems, and even fixing issues before they begin to cause problems.
